Risk and opportunity assessment of wine grape and tree fruit production in the Okanagan

This 2012 baseline report summarizes potential impacts of climate change for wine grape and tree fruit production in the Okanagan region. It identifies risks and opportunities associated with those impacts and actions for strengthening sector resilience.

More recent – and more detailed – regional climate impact assessments have been completed through the Regional Adaptation Program.

This report is part of a series of six reports developed through a province-wide risk and opportunity assessment project. The project gathered information from producers across BC about their ability to adapt to current and projected challenges and opportunities. It also identified approaches, tools and resources required to better support adaptation.
