Vanderhoof weather station data

Forage producers in the Vanderhoof area are observing changes in local climate that are impacting crop health and the timing of key agricultural activities.

This report combines historical data from a single Environment Canada station, data collected during one production season (2016) through four new weather stations, and producer observations.

While the data collected during a single season was very limited and producer observations were anecdotal, the study confirmed the importance of local weather data collection in the region. This data is needed to better document and analyze the changes occurring in local climate, and the critical impacts to agricultural decision-making.
