Weevils in berry crops: fact sheet

Weevils feed on roots and can stunt the growth of, or kill, young plants. Once established, weevils are difficult to control.

This fact sheet is focused on weevils in berry cops and provides information on identification, monitoring and management.

It includes information about seasonal management considerations, as well as how to distinguish between different species of weevils.

This resource was developed as part of a fact sheet series, following a process to inventory, analyze and prioritize pest threats for agriculture in the Fraser Valley.
